Formerly known as Physique Pride, it’s a gay bar that’s laid-back and lively all at once with cheap drinks, no cover charge and a relaxed attitude. The casual space opened in 1993 and has long attracted fun-loving individuals regardless of gender or sexuality.

The longtime owner, Hideki, is legendary in the community for his friendliness and service, both inside the bar and out. G Physique goes beyond being just LGBT friendly. It often supports human rights and HIV awareness initiatives sponsored by Osaka City government to give back to the community.

Located in the same building as another bar, Explosion, G Physique is a perfect place to start your night out in Doyamacho. Lucky for travelers, G Physique is very accommodating to foreigners. The owner and other staff speak English and the menu has information available in English. In fact, an international crowd gathers here most nights, though the majority of people going here are gay men, typically in their 20s-30s.
