Aisotope Lounge

Party in style at the largest gay club of Ni-chome.

Ni-chome, Tokyo’s gay district, is a treasure trove of places to party. But sometimes it’s nice to go somewhere special to break through the tedium of the same old (albeit fun) places. Check out Aisotope Lounge, which hosts special party events every weekend. And the best part? They host mixed, men-only and women-only events, so on the right day, anyone can have a good time!

Aisotope was established in 2012.

Weekends

The lounge is built for weekend parties, with a large main floor and a stage area that is designed for all of their wild events. Each one of the lounge’s sections has a different bar to keep things interesting. Aisotope is popular for hosting the largest parties in Ni-chome and for having the biggest bar venue in the district!

Ni-chome never really sleeps, so you can easily barhop from Aisotope to other nearby dance clubs and shot bars.

This is the perfect place for those wanting to stay out until dawn, with events that start slow around 10 p.m. and really get moving at midnight. Ni-chome never really sleeps, so you can easily barhop from Aisotope to other nearby dance clubs and shot bars. However, spending your whole night partying at Aisotope Lounge is totally worth it!

Their events range from drag shows, special DJ performances, sexy costume parties, and even strip shows! Many events are mixed, but the sexier parties tend to be men-only or women-only, which will be clearly indicated on the flyers and on their website. The events usually have covers (which tend to be around ¥ 3,000 but the price includes a drink.

For the costume parties, you can usually get a discount for wearing a sexy costume. Be sure to also check the website beforehand and show the bouncer the flyer to get a discount. Check out their website to stay up to date on their numerous upcoming events.

Wild or chill — the choice is yours.

Weekdays

If noisy big parties aren’t what make you tick, hop on over to the lounge on regular weekdays for a more casual atmosphere. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, you can chat with drag queen hostesses who serve drinks and maybe a little side-eye, but it’s always interesting conversation. Some staff can speak varying levels of English, but having someone who can speak Japanese in the group will definitely make the night more eventful.

2018 marked the bar’s 6th anniversary.

Drinks

The drinks are pretty standard for clubs, ranging from cocktails to beers ranging from ¥600 to  ¥1,000 for specialty drinks. The drinks are infamous for being especially strong, so be sure to keep your wits about you and have fun!

Next team you head to Ni-chome district for a wild and fun time, make sure to drop by Aisotope Lounge for the night of your life!
